ASU Workday Financials
Arizona State University (ASU) was utilizing a 25+ year old legacy system, which was past its end-of-life and provided limited usability to the financial and end user community.
ASU’s objective was to transform the University’s financial and procurement systems to support the University’s mission and goals of academic excellence, student success, and research impact.
Navigator provided key independent Advisory and leadership services for ASU that complemented the overall ASU and Workday teams.
The roles held on the project included:
- Program Manager
- OCM Lead
- Training Lead
- Deployment / Support Lead
- Workday Certified Consultant
- Reporting Lead
- Integration Analyst
- Data Warehouse Lead
- Data Warehouse Analyst
The project was on-time, on-scope, and under budget. Navigator provided advisory services critical to the successful implementation of the following Workday modules: Financial Accounting, Grants, Expenses, Procurement, Suppliers, Inventory, Projects, and Assets. There were approximately 100 integrations successfully deployed to over 15 internal and external systems.
Workday was contracted as the solution implementer. Navigator was contracted as Advisory services to backfill various roles on the project. By following this implementation model, the University not only implemented Workday, but was also able to successfully create a University-wide change agent network that proved key in the overall success of the software deployment.
As part of the final migration to Workday, Navigator has been instrumental in developing and deploying a post-go live support model. Navigator is supporting the Workday solution and working with ASU to continue to enhance the solution.
