Better Cost of Ownership Control for University of Maryland
The University of Maryland selected Navigator to manage its Kuali Financial (KFS) implementation. The primary objective was to retire a legacy financial system that could no longer be supported and put the University in a position to better control the cost of ownership of its back office administration applications.
While the initial objective of the KFS implementation project was clear, seeing it to its completion took an extraordinary effort from the Navigator team. The execution of this two year project encompassed a team of over 40 consultants and University personnel, the configuration of over 30 different business processes, over 60 external and internal integration points, over 50 customizations to the application, and the development of a financial Data Warehouse.
Through our partnership with the University and the talent of our project team, we were able to successfully navigate the many challenges of the project and successfully went live January 1, 2014. Due to the successful implementation, the University is better positioned to control the total cost of ownership of its back office administration applications and its financial system will now be able to support and grow along with the University.
