Helping AEP upgrade their PeopleSoft Financials
Navigator was engaged to help AEP upgrade their PeopleSoft Financials suite of applications from v8.0 to v9.0. With more than 10 million transactions processed per month, 240 integration points and 170 business processes involved, the challenge to upgrade, with no loss of existing functionality and a production outage window of only 9 days, was a complex and daunting task.
In combination with the charge to upgrade this highly complex financials system was the desire to improve accounting business processes with a goal of improving the overall month end close cycle. Navigator successfully led a team of more than 150 people through this critical project and as a result, AEP has improved their infrastructure stability, increased productivity and effectiveness, and has met compliance requirements. Most importantly, AEP is able to complete its month end close cycle in an average of 5 business days. The project was completed on-time and under budget.
