Adoption of Single System at the State of Ohio

Background

The State of Ohio contracted with Navigator Management Partners to inventory all current Time and Attendance systems in use at the State and to define ways to improve the adoption and utilization of a single system throughout. The State licensed and supported roughly 18 different time keeping systems (seven use Kronos 6.1 and 11 are custom) to track employee work time. Thousands of employees manually entered their payable time every pay period. 

Additionally, there was no state-standard approach for tracking and documenting leaves of absence, including disability leave, Occupational Injury Leave (OIL), Salary Continuation, worker’s compensation and FMLA absences. Navigator led a team to gather requirements, assess pain points with existing solutions, and develop a business case and long-term strategy roadmap for the State.
