Improving Quality of Talent Pool
The objectives of this project were to identify a solution that increased the size and improved the quality of the applicant pool for the Medical Center and reduce the cycle time to hire applicants.
ApproachThe first phase of the project was a business process design, which entailed facilitating three analysis sessions with a team of functional members of the Employment area. The second phase of the project was the creation of a business benefits case that included detailed estimates of current time to complete tasks and the projected estimates based on the ideal business process. Net present value analysis of the benefits was performed both for the direct measurable benefits as well as the expected indirect benefits of an implementation. The third phase of the project included an analysis of two applicant tracking software packages.
